Midland Road Nursery School and Children’s Centre has been visiting Early Years settings from 6 other European Countries – Latvia, Sweden, Belgium, Iceland, Spain and Cyprus. On these visits Teachers and practitioners are discussing how to support young children’s understanding of sustainable development.
Sustainable development is development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the needs of future generations to meet their own needs.
At Midland Road this project is being led by the Deputy Head teacher Kaye Galley and she has been visiting each country with a different practitioner from our school /centre. St Edmunds Nursery School and Children’s Centre another Bradford setting are also involved in the project. The project is being funded by the British Council and we are really proud to be part of this work.
